5. Purpose and Legal Basis for Processing
The website provides users with the ability to send feedback, questions, and comments to the Finnish Meteorological Institute. If the sender wishes to receive a reply, they must provide their email address.
The legal basis for processing is consent. Data is collected solely from users who voluntarily submit the feedback form.

The following information is collected, as provided by the sender:

IP address is not logged.

Data is obtained solely from the feedback form user.

Data is processed only by those Finnish Meteorological Institute staff whose duties require it. Data is used solely for responding to feedback. Data is not disclosed or sold to third parties.

As a rule, data is retained only until the feedback has been responded to. After a reply has been sent, messages and contact details are deleted.
